President Trump embeds his view that climate change is a hoax into US policy, ordering the EPA to repeal the 2009 endangerment finding and scrap vehicle emissions standards for 2012–2027, with claimed savings of $1.3 trillion.
The EPA will end rules cutting pollution from cars and trucks, even as transport is the largest source of direct greenhouse gas emissions.
